Thank you, God! For Giving Children Horrible Cancer!

I've managed to find what is possibly the most-offensive-to-human-progression group out there. While they focus on anti-abortion mostly, they are also vehemently opposed to the pill, and in this case, euthanasia.

Basically, they meander through some useless, if not all together irrelevant information until they utter these words of wonder:

What people have forgotten is that no matter what suffering we face in our lives, God has a plan for all of us. God can use suffering for good in our lives and in the lives of the people around us. With God, there is always hope!

Really?! The last time I checked (2 minutes ago) the assisted suicide matter was only relevant to the terminally ill and the elderly in rapidly declining health. So the suffering of these people is completely fine? And not only that, but is good? I know, we should check somewhere else to see what the thinking is elsewhere:

Bible.org says that suffering...

produces character improvement (holiness, maturity, etc. James 1:24) which in turn produces eternal rewards (crown of life – James 1:12).

"Sorry that you have cancer kids, but hey! It builds character!" Does that sound right to you? But really, that's where the debate of "the Right to Human Life" leads. In defining the 'sanctity' of one form, they have created the umbrella of protection against any and all people never ever being allowed in any circumstances to define their own sensibilities of death. ANY and ALL.

I find this extremely conflicting when you look at the "war". Take a look at the statistics of Christians that are Pro-War:

Support was strongest among Evangelicals, 77 percent of whom supported war, compared with 62 percent of Catholics and mainline Protestants.

Let's go BACK to Rock For Life and their anti-euthanasia rhetoric to contradict that, thus showing how clever I am:

No human being has the right to take another human life - or their own, for that matter! Only God can rightfully create and take life. Let's quit playing God.

Why be so selective? I ask this because it seems to always be the easiest thing to get upset about is what is constantly attacked by Christian groups. Abortion, Euthanasia, Gay Marriage, etc. These are all things that are so clearly NOT important issues to debate because they all fall under one simple factor: PERSONAL FREEDOM.

Instead of worrying about the "precious gift of life" that you feel abortion destroys, why not worry about, say... feeding the homeless, stopping the spread of AIDS, Cancer... anything that affects the "precious gift of life" that is here NOW. But that would require giving and compassion and hard work. Much more than a picket sign and a hateful message.

The reason people [Christians] on this earth DO NOT truly value human life [or this Earth] is because this place is just the stepping stone. Heaven is where they will really live. This is their trash pit, place of greed, and place to sin, go to church, and get forgiven.

Most Evangelicals [for that fact some other christians also] believe that there has to be war in the Holy Land to bring on the second coming of Jesus. After that, they all get to go to heaven to "party with Jesus" [i've actually heard one of these people say that]!! This explains all the trouble there has been in the middle east [well forever]!

You know the best way to describe this is to quote Bob Marley's Get Up, Stand Up:

Most people think,
Great God will come from the skies,
Take away everything
And make everybody feel high.
But if you know what life is worth,
You will look for yours on earth...
